And to the north and the east and the south is the Pacific Ocean.
New Zealand is surrounded by the sea.
It has two large islands, called the North Island and the South Island.
South of the South Island is a smaller island called Stewart Island.
Two thirds of New Zealanders live in the North Island.
Wellington in the far south of the North Island
is the capital of this country.

and it is situated towards the north of the North Island.

We are living in Hamilton and it is about
135 kilometres to the south of Auckland.
