These photos remind us of the occasion when we thought it would be nice to take the children onto the lake. We had to paddle so hard that we felt “dislocated” once we returned on dry land. The children thought it was great fun though!

The pirate ship on Lake Ashi. The boat would have been reminiscent of the early Dutch ships that arrived in Nagasaki. However, those ships would never have sailed on a lake. Anyway, there you have it: a wonderful tourist attraction!
