This is about the weirdest building on the planet, but actually it is relatively common for Japanese hotels to consider guests’ superstitious ideas. They accommodate guests by locating the dining room, the restaurant, the offices etc. all on the fourth floor.
Of course, we’re poking fun when suggesting that the fourth floor be abolished. It’s nonsense. However, if you name your floors in the elevator first, second, third, offices, fifth, then everyone seems happy. And a happy guest is a paying guest who comes back!
