Very formal kimono at the station.
Kimono show from selfies: have you ever seen anything more elegant?
Almost all of these antique long-sleeved kimono ふりそで date back to the era of Emperor Taisho – early 19th century. The blue and pink garment at the end of this series is only a yukata ゆかた or light cotton summer kimono.

Here are a few photos of a small tea party on occasion of Hinamatsuri. It is a good opportunity for the adults to dress up in kimono and the children to wear yukata, all in order to entertain the children. Notice the Hina Dolls in the background.
